West Valley College - Tech Lab Badge

Every semester the Technology Lab changes their splash screens, the Lab Supervisor asked if I would be willing to create a badge and Splash screen combo that they could use for the upcoming summer semester. They wanted something fairly conservative and so I chose the simple uncluttered design using the schools colors. It worked well in both a vertical and horizontal format.

The splash screen was a bit more challenging at it had to be designed for both the Mac and PC. (I was designing on the Mac.) That meant the I had to port the fonts that I had selected to the PC via a font conversion program and then readjust the colors as they read dreastically differently between the Mac and the PC. It was a bit of a trial and error as the design software was not loaded on to the PC's, which meant that had to load the splash screen and then determine what adjustments needed to be made. I took two tries to get it to look the way I had designed it.
