Cisco - Beta & Release Team logo

I was tasked to create a logo for the team that would symbolize the cutting edge that is the constant status of a beta project team. I went through serveral iterations of the blade design including a two handed blade and skating blades before the team settled on this design. Next came the selection of the type face. Again we were looking for something sharp to continue the blade theme. I chose Crown Title with its small caps and sharp serifs that give it a clean and progressive appearance.

We had jackets made for the team, red and black wind breakers for which we altered font color to a white to black gradient to better match the jackets.

WAN Group - Header
There was actually a contest for the design of the Wide Area Network logo. I actually submitted several permutations of the same basic design. The central element is the globally recognized router symbol, while the outer arrows represent the extended reach of the WAN configuration.
