About this Project:
This is a project that I took on for for a friend who was involved with a Greyhound Rescue organization in the Scotsdale area of Arizona. She was having issues with the company that was hosting the present site and the lack of responsiveness for making even simple changes to the content. I designed the over site look and feel and in conjunction with Nick Hunseder, who will be handling the everyday stuff we're in the process of giving the site a much needed face lift!

Greyhound Pets of America - Arizona Chapter Home Page:
In order to get a sense of how dramatic the redesign is you need to take a look at the original site. I wasn't really given any parameters with regard to the site. First step was research, what do the other Greyhound Rescue sites look like (not great). Next, I looked at sites theat were specific to Arizona to get a sense of what others were doing that was representative of the state. I decided the I wanted to base the look of the site on the limestone formations that are part of Monument Valley. It all went together fairly easily after that. The only other issue was redesigning the local chapter's logo. I'm not sure that everyone is sold on it but I like it, and feel that it conveys at first glance the purpose of the site. The final challenge was setting up the pictures on the home page so that each time the site is opened a different picture is shown. I passed the templates for the site off to Nick to import the content into.
